New instrumental fusion trio consisting of Neil Citron, Percy Jones, and Walter Garces. Neil Citron may be familiar to you with his recording/touring with Lana Lane and Erik Norlander although he also has an extensive discography of solo work. Walter Garces is an in demand session drummer who has also played with Lana Lane. Percy Jones...is Percy Jones!! Bangtower (weird name innit?) follows the Brand X path prettty well in fact. The bass sound is so identifiable and the music is melodic and has a real groove. I never heard any of Citron's solo album but always knew of him as a shredder. He pulls out all stops on this disc - at some points he plays in counterpoint to Percy and others they play precise unison lines. Jones and Citron also provides modest contributions on keyboards that help add a bit of color. The disc is housed in a CD wallet but is priced to reflect it. Highly recommended.
