Norwegian prog metal supergroup project featuring members of Borknagar, Winds, Mayhem and By Pale Light. This one caught me by surprise - ornate, classically influenced keyboard work contrasted by crunchy guitar riffing. Some mildly coarse vocals pop up now and then for effect but essentially it's driven by clean vocals. For some reason the tune "The Concept Of Haste" reminds me of Echoes-period Pink Floyd. Unusual and cool.

Not even remotely conventional prog metal here (might be the reason I liked it to begin with). This one should only be judged after repeated listenings. These are farily subtle and, not necessarily heavy, compositions that require that added attention span to fully comprehend. If you've hit the wall with the Dram Theater clones, give this one a spin.
