Average Rating
Amorphis is a band that I've struggled with during years past, even after seeing them live at ProgPower. With that said, Skyforger has made me a believer! There are some seriously dark, atmospheric, and melodic songs on this latest effort. For me, Amorphis has great "cross over" potential offering something for the power, prog, goth, and death metal fan. I can say this for very few bands that I'm aware of. Simply put, Skyforger is a keeper! Brian in Johnson City

After 2006's remarkable outing "Silent Waters," we find Amorphis moving farther away from the coarse vocal stylings of their earlier output and into more of a melodic direction. That said, these songs are every bit as good if not better than the ones on Silent Waters. It's nice to see good bands seeking new heights and evolving themselves into great bands. Leyth
