Angtoria - God Has A Plan For Us All

SKU LIS085
Excellent orchestral gothic metal from this UK/Swedish band put together by vocalist Sarah Jezebel Deva and composers Chris and Tommy Rehn. Deva has made a name for herself singing with Cradle Of Filth and Therion. On this album she stays away from the upper register soprano range instead singing in a powerful and controlled midrange. The music has a larger than life orchestrated/soundtrack quality that is quite beautiful. There are a number of guest musicians including members of CoF, My Dying Bride and Space Odyssey but the focus really is on Ms. Deva. Angtoria is off to a great start. Highly recommended.

Very solid goth/symphonic metal album here. For those who may have doubted Sarah Jezebel Deva's talents in her previous appearances in Cradle of Filth or Therion, this is the prime example of her excellent vocal craft. This album comprises twelve very well-crafted tracks that deliver a pretty solid emotional punch (nevermind the semi-cheesy lyrics). Very enjoyable and recommended. Leyth

I figured since I saw it for sale here I might as well say something.Angtoria is an incredible symphonic metal band with a mix of goth element thrown. Most obvious to this superb album is due to its melodic approaches with symphonic lements. It is highly addictive and heavy at the same time. It is more darker than Within Temptation. Once you listen the 1st round your eyes will ryhme with the tunes and it draws you even more asking you to listen to the disc over and over again. If you blast this record..... believe me you will never feel the same again!! Anyoene who is in goth, symphonic, female fronting metal band should have this disc in their library. Yes God has a plan for me and you and everyone else on this planet!

highly infectious somewhat goth metal which incorporates epica, evanescense, within temptation and that ilk with more mid-range female vocals as opposed to soprano-style. somewhat orchestral ,slightly dark this release illustrates the very high-quality debut cd of a band that joins the ranks in stellar fashion. review by frank c
