One of the most unusual aspects of this release is that Faraz Anwar hails from Pakistan. I could only imagine how difficult it must have been for him to find musicians to play this kind of music with. That being the case he seems to have taken matters into his own hands playing all the instruments with the exception of one track where he is helped out on bass and drums. Half expecting a pure shred overload I was pleasantly surprised to hear strong legato leads reminiscent of Allan Holdsworth overlaying fusion oriented compositions. Faraz did a tasteful job with the drum programming that doesn't really call out at you. There are the ocassional metallic shred solos but for the most part he keeps things within the fusion realm. A thoroughly enjoyable release from a musician that deserves to find some guys to play with!
