Looking for a band on the more melodic end of the prog metal spectrum? You have to check out this Swiss band Appearance Of Nothing. Two vocals that harmonize very well together. Nice crunch and some tasty keys but the overriding aspect of the band's music is the emphasis on melody. Vanden Plas and Superior come to mind as well as Mind's Eye. One fan compared them to Chrome Shift (good one!). Not a band that will knock you on their ass with technicality but they might with their songcraft. Highly recommended.

There is some serious Savatage influence going on here, and in a very good way. Strong melodies through out, powerful and emotional vocals. Love it.

Good new prog metal offering here. Songs are well written and performed. Only gripe is that vocals could be better. Still quite enjoyable. Leyth

This album includes not just one but two of the best songs I have heard all year in "Man in the Mirror" and "Wasted Time". Fantastic dual guitar riffs, with subtle keyboards that accentuate the musical changes. EXCELLENT STUFF!
