Ghost Conversations is the new 23 minute EP from this talented Chicago based instrumental trio. Aziola Cry features Jason Blake on Grand Stick and Stick Bass, Mike Milaniak on guitars, and Tim Stickradt on drums. The piece is split into three parts. It opens with a spacey ambient feel somewhat like Gordian Knot's quieter moments. By the time the trio hit the second and third parts they really kick it into overdrive offering a healthy dose of Crimsonoid riffing. There is some serious Stick and guitar shred spitting out of your speakers and it continues to build and build. At times it got so heavy I would almost call this metal. This has a real fresh feel to it. I'd love to see these guys live. Highly recommended.
