Generally speaking we stay clear of the "ecto" scene unless something compelling comes along. Here is one that deserves your attention.
Emily Bezar is a San Francisco based vocalist. She has classical training in voice and keyboards. Exchange is her fifth solo album. Vocally she bears an uncanny similarity to Tori Amos. On the other hand, for my taste, Ms. Bezar's music is far more interesting. I'm not familiar with the musicians but the instrumentation of woodwinds, brass, guitar, violin, cello, bass, drums and of course keyboards touches on progressive rock, fusion and classical composition. Above it all is Ms. Bezar's amazing voice that draws you into the soundscape. Oh yeah - the sound is great too! Cerebral music with a compelling voice is always a lethal combination. Highly recommended.

Sounds more like Kate Bush circa Dreaming/Hounds of Love than any Tori Amos disc, but Bezar is no mere clone, either...
