Remastered edition with a bonus track. A touch of commerciality seeps in but this band at their worst is better than most fusion bands at their best.

Average Rating
Awesome jazz rock from Bill Bruford, Jeff Berlin, and Dave Stewart (no, not the dude from Eurythmics). They are joined by an unknown guitarist who sounds like he goes to bed every night with Allan Holdsworth plugged into his brain. Jeff Berlin handles the vocals on a few tracks like the excellent "Gothic 17" and the groovy "Sliding Floor." Is he a great singer? Not even close, but he does not detract from the greatness of the material. This was one of the definitive albums from 1980 for me, along with Kerry Livgren's "Seeds of Change" and Yes' "Drama." Highly recommended. Leyth
