With a name like Camembert you would almost impulsively make a musical connection to Gong and to a degree you would be right - but wrong at the same time. Camembert is a seven piece ensemble from Strasbourg that incorporate a standard rhythm section, guitar, harp (!), vibes, xylophone, and bass trombone. There is a Gong feel but later day Pierre Moerlen-era Gong. That isn't really the primary musical influence to be honest. There is definitely more of a mid-70s Zappa vibe (no pun intended). Perhaps you might even hear a similarity to their countrymates Forgas Phenomena but overall you think Zappa when you hear this band. Super tight and really enjoyable. Nice to hear some harp rock out!

Full disclosure: the band is marketing this as an EP which is OK with us. Its 32 minutes which is actually longer than some albums from the 70s. Highly recommended.
