Billing their sound as "progressive jazz metal", this young trio from Germany are poised to set the fusion world on fire. Consisting of Benjamin Schwenen on guitars/synth guitar/programming, Thorsten Harnitz on drums and HD Lorenz on bass, CWE blend metal edged guitar crunch with a jazz oriented rhythm section. In some ways they remind me of a metal version of McGill Manring Stevens. They have a clean but explosive sound - lots of dynamics going on here. Fans of 7for4, Joe Satriani, and Steve Morse get ready to have your minds blown. Highly recommended.
