New band from Baltimore put together by former Cerebus Effect bandmates Dan Britton (keyboards), and Patrick Gaffney (drums). I enjoyed the Cerebus Effect disc but this album is a quantum jump above and beyond. This almost all instrumental disc consists of marathon long tracks with obvious 70s retro influences that remind of Anglagard and King Crimson. At the same time there is a trace of an RIO edge that creeps through. Overall it's the references to Gentle Giant, VDGG, Genesis et al that is infused in the overall sound making this a nice complement to bands like Maxwell's Demon and Wobbler. Quite a remarkable disc that any hardcore old school prog fan would enjoy. One of the best releases to come out in 2006 and highly recommended.
