Totally audacious band from Sweden that will leave your jaw on the floor. This six piece ensemble is fronted by a soprano vocalist Annlouice Loegdlund. The music drifts between opera, metal, chamber music, ethnic, spaghetti-western soundtrack, jazz and prog - sometimes all in the same song! None of this should work but somehow it sounds so fresh and original it just mesmerizes you from start to finish. Instrumentation consists of two guitarists, bass, cello and drums. Keyboards figure prominently as well. I wouldn't even call this a cross-genre effort - Diablo Swing Orchestra obliterates the genres. Unique and captivating and highly recommended. WOW!
