Killer price for this excellent prog metal band from Rhode Island. Essential for fans of Dream Theater who like their music on the heavier side and with a twist.

Still all the songs sound far more different from each other than anything from any of those other bands, because there is a bold and distinctive chorus, not the typically weak melody or ultra-cheesy ballads found on DT albums. On this disc there is what you might call a "power ballad"..but far more power than ballad -I do like ballads though. The only problem I had with this disc is the production and somewhat muddy sound.

i'll give 4 simply bec its very cheap price so its good value, I like this album, even though i agree with the 1st review, a bit monotonous, but for me its ok, unsual style though so its worth having it in the collection. Deep and tripy buy it. (booklet wiht pics and lyrics thats a bonus these days :)

I'm not exactly sure what the connection to DT in the above description really means. What I hear is fairly standard metal sung well and played well but with none of the alternating tempo dynamics that make bands like DT or Threshold stand out. Good lyrics but everything being played in the same time signature or at least sounding like it tends to get monotonous. A good start perhaps but more variety would be nice next time. 3 out of 3 for me.
