Divine Ascension is an Australian female fronted metal band. After a bit of shuffling they settled on Jennifer Borg as vocalist and she's quite something to hear. In terms of the music there are a lot of comparisons to be made to Within Temptation but Ms. Borg doesn't sound like Sharon Den Adel. She is more of a power singer without being overbearing. There are some male vocals but its really Ms. Borg's show here and she really shines. I'm not going to tell you that this album is going to change your world but if you have an affinity for female fronted metal this album is going to sit quite comfortably in you CD player. Fans of the genre should definitely take note of this band.
