First time on CD for this fusion monster! Although it wasn't his first album for MPS it was his first real fusion album for them and what a killer it is. This is a trio set of George Duke on keys, John Heard on bass and Ndugu Chancler on drums. Duke was feeling his way around the Arp Odyssey and he basically goes off his nut on the thing - approaching Jan Hammer territory. Although he's not playing on this album, the unmistakeable imprint of Zappa can be heard in the compositions. An awesome disc. Gorgeous reproduction of the art arrives in a mini-LP sleeve with detailed liner notes and 24 bit mastering. Highest recommendation.
