Latest from Edenbridge finds them going for their biggest production to date. Incorporating the 65 piece "Czech Film Orchestra", Edenbridge get even more bombastic and epic than previous efforts. Lanvall has discovered down tuned guitar adding a bit more heft and grit which is a nice contrast to the smooth and clean tones of Sabine's voice. I don't think we'll ever see a radical change in this band's sound but My Earth Dream finds them tinkering a bit - the orchestra is a nice addition.

Edenbridge are usually good for a helping of tasty symphonic metal any day of the week. With amped up production values and more up-tempo compositions, this album is probably their most accessible yet. That is not to say it's not good. Far from it. Sabine E., despite her slight accent, is simply one of the best female metal vocalists out there today and she is captured here in all her melodic glory. The orchestra adds a Within-Temptation-like lushness to what are essentially solid and memorable songs. The bonus instrumental version of the title track could easily serve as a soundtrack to a movie. Very visual stuff. An easy recommendation. Leyth
