Emerson Lake & Palmer - 40th Ann. Reunion Concert

SKU MVD52190
Pro-shot DVD featuring the complete set of ELP's presumably final gig together. This was the headlining set at the inauguarl High Voltage Festival in London. It marked the 40th anniversary of the band (amazing that its been that long). Luckily the heaviest concentration of material is from the 70s and they even do "The Barbarian" which they rarely performed after the early tours. Oh yeah - Lake still needs to go on a diet.

Too bad they had bad sound & monitoring on stage. They are not always in sync with the backing tracks because of this. Despite of these problems it's still a good show in my view.

Embarassing! The songs lack energy, are played slower and at a lower pitch. Tried twice to watch this and had to eject and put in ELP Live at the Royal Albert Hall to black out what I had just seen and heard. Better off with the above mentioned DVD, Live at Montreux or The Keith Emerson Band in Moscow. Seriously, I'm a longtime fan but this was sad, so so very sad.
