Enochian Theory - Evolution: Creatio Ex Nihilio

WORKED OUT A DEAL WITH THE BAND AND SCORED A BUNCH OF COPIES AT AN AMAZING PRICE!!

New progressive rock/metal trio from the UK that has the chance to blow up big. The band goes for an epic sound with the core trio augmented by the "The Lost Orchestra". Melancholy seems to be the overall theme here reminding of Riverside, Opeth, Tool and even some Pink Floyd. It can get quite heavy at times but overall it would be safe to categorize this as progressive rock. There is the odd growly part that made me think of Opeth - not a bad thing. The symphonic parts are quite beautiful and sad at the same time - Riverside's "Loose Heart" would be an apt comparison. An emotional roller coaster ride with plenty of space and...yes...intricacy. If you like your prog drenched in thick atmosphere this one is going to crush your skull. Highly recommended.

Any fan of Tool will go nuts for this record. I don't really hear the growing, I do hear an extremely impassioned vocal that is beautifully mixed. The band just rips. Very dynamic and completely engaging start to finish. Has a strong mantra like quality to it, like Tool.. Nice one Laser's Edge!

Indeed a good album especially for trio with a solid sound, nice symphonic arrangements; Compositions include acoustic guitar interludes and strong dynamic shifts, but as well some anoying growling. Sorin V. (ProgSor)

I agree a great deal with B.Ricci. The poop vocals can't fit on any disc that sounds clean, but when do they sound good? At least when it's on a CD labeled "death metal" you don't get any funny (or sad) surprises. I must say though, I didn't think they ruined this one with those barf vocals; they don't seem so common here. I guess I'm used to hearing music being TOTALLY ruined, lol. It literally makes the difference between buying or not.

I agree, Cd is fantastic, but why , why, why, do we have to have growling on Prog. cds.. It takes away from the rest of the cd, it is a bad thing , Talanted Musians , with good song writing.....B.Ricci
