El Festival De Los Viajes is a new Argentinian ensemble that serves up a platter of peyote laced spaghetti western rock. The music sounds like something concocted by Ennio Morricone in 1969 as channeled by Dick Dale on acid. There are some vocals in spanish but they aren't really a factor as they blend into the music. This isn't cosmic psych like the Ozrics - it's more of a laid back trippy lysergic vibe that harkens back to a place and time long ago. Some of the more rhythmic oriented tracks remind of Can's ethnic forays. Haven't heard anything like these guys before. Way cool...
