Long awaited full length disc from this female fronted Philadelphia based progressive metal band. Fountain Of Tears features former members of 90s Christian thrash metal bands Sacrament and Believer. The band is fronted by Vondie King who believe it or not reminds me of Pat Benatar (sorry if I date myself). The music has a dark, sombre feel but avoids gothic trappings - there is way too much complexity going on. Guitarist Mike DiDonato impresses with fluid soloing but also excellent rhythm and crunch. This one is a progmetal grower. Highly recommended.
