New German instrumental progressive quartet skirts the margins between symphonic rock and post-rock. The songs tend to ebb and flow offering a spacey vibe. Unlike bands like God Is An Astronaut, Frames does provide the listener with some guitar and keyboard leads so you do get some release. Don't expect serious pyrotechnic soloing - that isn't what this band is about. Taken as a whole the music comes across as a haunting musical soundtrack.
