One of the great British psychedelic folk albums. This one off release was released on RCA back in 1971 and sank without a trace. Fresh Maggots was actually a duo of Mick Burgoyne and Leigh Dolphin - they both played a variety of instruments. While the orchestrations and flute work are welcome it's Burgoyne's fuzzed out electric leads played in counterpoint to the 12 string acoustic that really makes this albums soar. This is an official release done under the auspices of Burgoyne and Dolphin. Spread out over 4 sides of vinyl it comes with 5 live bonus tracks. Highly recommended.
