Gosta Berlings Saga - Til Ar Ljud

We are a bit late with this title but it's a real winner. Gosta Berlings Saga is a new instrumental quartet from Sweden. The music has a folk feel similar to Kebnekaise and early Samla Mammas Manna. There is some gorgeous fuzzed out leads washing over Rhodes, 'tron, and synth. There is a great jamming flow to the music. This one is really a brilliant debut and I think it will be exciting to see where they go next. Highest recommendation.

I was fired up to get this release based on the album description from TLE. I believe that "jamming flow" is a bit misleading. The song structures are very choppy and never settle down into something congruent Its good at times but to my ear only for fleeting moments. Over all the sound is just too cut up and there is hardly a stand out melody. Djam Karet do this style much better.
