JAPROCKSAMPLER: How The Post-War Japanese Blew Their Minds On Rock N Roll (Non-US Customers)

SKU 9780747589457F
Controversial new book chronicling the Japanese rock scene from the 60s and 70s. Cope's Krautrocksampler was a hit or miss affair and I'm sure this one will go down the same way. He has this sort of predetermined attitude and tries to have these bands fit neatly into his musical and sociological universe. So...you may find yourself disagreeing with a lot of what he says. On the other hand there is a lot of useful knowledge to be gained since there is so little English language material on this important scene.
