New album from this UK neo-prog band finds them moving a bit more towards the center. They were never much about complexity to begin with but now they are fully ensconced in a modern sound with even some touches of AOR creeping in. Martin Orford's keyboard work is a bit more subdued than usual, making this a strongly guitar driven album.

LEMONY SNICKETT'S Sad and Sorrowful Tale of the Strangely Reticent Keyboard Player. Once again this band delivers the goods with this great CD! Great songs,fine singing,excellent guitar work,and I mean excellent! But wait! What's this? It's rarer than the sighting of an Ivory Billed Woodpecker. An actual keyboard solo on track 2 or is it 3? I was begining to think they were extinct in England or maybe illegal. They have some strange laws and customs over there I'm told.Please contribute to the Orford Foundation for Keyboardist Afflictions and help stamp out out this dreaded lack of solos.I almost forgot! Five out Five for Photoplay!
