ROK-065
First official release of the third album from this Finnish progressive band. They originally began simply as Kalevala and released the excellent People No Names in 1972. Their more commercial follow up was called Boogie Jungle and the less said about it the better. After breaking up the band reformed as Kalevala Orchestra. Abraham's Blue Refrain (what the hell does it mean anyway?) was released in 1977. New vocalist Zape Leppanen has a bit of coarseness to his voice that reminds a bit of Roger Chapman. Family wouldn't be a bad reference point for the band although Jim Pembroke's involvement definitely puts a bit of a Wigwam imprint on the proceedings.
