Stunning new album from the Florida based metal band features a true epic orchestral sound. There is just the right touch of bombast present in support of Khan who is his completely on top of his game. There is a bit of an exotic Middle Eastern theme that runs like an undercurrent through out the songs which is a nice juxtaposition with Tom Youngblood's stacatto riffing. Mark Gromen's review on the Brave Word's website compared this to Trans-Siberian Orchestra and I couldn't agree more. This will easily be one of the best metal releases to emerge in 2007. Highest recommendation.
New 2CD edition of Ghost Opera comes with lots of extras. There is a second disc which is a live recording from Belgrade from the 2007 world tour. There are also four bonus studio cuts. Its capped off with two video clips.
