I don't know where Napalm keeps finding these gorgeous women with killer voices - they must have them all locked up in a warehouse in Austria. Napalm should come out with a special edition version that has a pack of tissues included. Katra is a Finnish band fronted by Katra Solopuro. This was originally released with Finnish vocals but re-recorded into English for release on Napalm. I can't say there is anything groundbreaking here but it is well executed. Katra has a very nice voice and the music is standard gothic metal with some flecks of folk...kind of like Leaves Eyes. Perhaps after hearing so many of these "chick" bands I'm starting to wear out a bit on the genre so this one doesn't leap heads and shoulders above the pack but on the other hand I've heard far far worse. A solid non-groundbreaking effort. [Man is she hot or what??]
