New 40th anniversary set of the band's inaugural album. Robert Fripp employed Steven Wilson to work from the original multi-tracks. Here is how it breaks down:

CD:
1. New stereo mix taken from the original multitrack tapes.
2. 5 previously unreleased bonus tracks.

DVD:
1. 5.1 mix in MLP Lossless and DTS - each at 24/48.
2. New stereo mix at 24/96.
3. Original mix taken from the 2004 remaster.
4. Same bonus tracks as the CD but in 24/96 and 24/48.
5. Video clip of the band performing "21st Century Schizoid Man" at Hyde Park.

Note that with the DVD you need a DVD-Audio player to access the 24/48 and 24/96 MLP Lossless versions. A standard DVD player will be able to access the DTS 5.1 and LPCM stereo mix (24/48). Got it?

Don't be a fool, if you're looking at this just buy it now. I've owned all incarnations of this album and this is the first time they got it completely right. We finally get to hear instrumental clarity the likes we could never have imagined. Everything is detailed and clear, and the 5.1 mix is a major revelation. It nearly brought a tear to my eye listening to it as I heard bits and pieces of instrumentation I've never heard before. Surround sound my sound gimmicky, but it is not. Think about it, it's like have 3 stereo tracks playing at once. That alone gives the surround version the expansive audio space necessary to let every instrument and vocal line breath. Absolutely amazing, get it today!
