LWE is the instrumental trio of Frank Lucas, Chuck White, and Steve Edsey. The band is based out of Chicago. The instrumentation consists of keys/bass/drums with guiest violin on three tracks. The music takes a decidely non-ELP direction. Apparently Mr. Lucas has been taken under the wing of Jordan Rudess. He's obviously learned well as he gets to display his virtuosity constantly. I liked the violin bits - I found it added some needed bite to the tunes.
