The production keeps getting bigger and bigger with each passing release. Imagine gothic metal as conceived by Kurt Weill and you'll begin to scratch at the surface of Lacrimosa's sound. Orchestral, bombastic, and melancholy (bordering on doom) are words that immediately come to mind. Tilo Wolff's sprechsang vocals take some getting used to but they fit in with the overall sound. Definitely NOT party music...
