First studio album in 30+ years from this fine Italian prog band. I guess they figured if Banco, PFM, and Le Orme can do it they can as well. The lineup of the bands consists of members that were in both iterations from the 70s. Marco Polo is a conceptual work that finds the band basically staying close to their sound although guitar is a bit more prominent than from back in the day. Keyboardist Oliviero Lacagnina isn't afraid to give organ ample room in the mix. The music is a bit more symphonic/orchestral than in the past but this is 100% prog. The band's live album from last year was great and this studio work proves that they really still have it. This is as good as anything they did in the past. Highly recommended. (Sorry about the price - we know its horrendous).
