What if you took Canterbury influenced jazz rock added some noise and space? I think you might wind up with something like this Winnipeg-based band's fourth album. There is a loose jamming quality that is cohesive and propulsive - a bit like Soft Machine in fact. The quartet throw in analog keys, guitar, trumpet, bass and drums and lots of odd sounds. It works and it works extremely well. Highly recommended.
