Malison Rogue is a new band from Sweden produced by Mats Leven. Ever get the urge for some old school prog metal? Listening to this disc is like time traveling back to the late 80s. With vocals that cross a young Geoff Tate with John Arch you get the overall vibe of Queensryche meets Fates Warning with just a touch of Iron Maiden for good measure. The band goes for a particular sound and they nail it from Zeb's vocals, the guitar tones, the harmonies, right on down to the overall production. Nostalgia freaks will eat this up.
