First solo album from the noted former vocalist of Angra and Shaman. Assembling musicians from these two bands he entered the studio under the eye of producer Roy Z and engineer Sascha Paeth. The result - Time To Be Free - is a stunner. I think it's indisputable that he's one of the best vocalists in metal. The material is clearly rooted in speedy melodic metal (as you would expect) but the prog quotient seems to be turned up a notch this time as well. I was disappointed when he left Shaman but if this is where he is headed count me in for the ride. Highly recommended!
