Long awaited second album from this excellent Italian prog metal band finds some differences in place. First off the band has apparently finished churning through vocalists, settling on Elias Fierro Jr. This guy is a powerhouse that will remind you of Jorn Lande and Russell Allen - a great voice and no accent. The band has deliberately written compositions that are a bit more accessible and hook filled. Some of the complexity is gone but there is still more than enough interesting bits to keep a hardcore prog listener happy. The band has invited some high profile guests on board - Derek Sherinian adds some keys, Reb Beach gives up a guitar solo, and Tom Englund does a great duet with Fierro. So a move a bit into melodic metal territory but still all in all a winner. Highly recommended.
