One of the killers from the early German underground. Sick organ solos swirl all around only to be interrupted by killer guitar breaks. There is a definite Deep Purple vibe being felt as the organ/guitar duels of Wolf-Rodiger Uhlig and Wolfgang Rumler instantly remind of the salad days of Jon Lord and Ritchie Blackmore. The thing is that Murphy Blend's music has much more of a progressive slant. Originally released on Kuckuck back in 1971. Shame that these guys were a one-and-done band. They deserved international attention. Highest recommendation. This one is a real gut punch!
