MYSTICA1
I only know of one other band from Bulgaria - Pantommind, a band we are naturally familar with. If Mystica is any indication, then there is something amazing going on in the music scene over there. This is the debut release from the five piece band led by guitarist Rossen Kolev. While I'm not ready to proclam Mystica as the second coming of Psychotic Waltz I definitely hear a strong influence. The band lists Dream Theater as one of their influences but I think this is much heavier owing more to thrash bands of the past. One of the strongest points of the band is vocalist Vladimir Georgiev. He's got great power and is never overwhelmed by the heaviness or complexity of the music. If these guys would have a bigger budget to record their next album I think they could be massive. With the ongoing stream of "same old - same old" coming through Casa Laser's Edge this one hit me like a ton of bricks. Highly recommended!

This sounds like every other progressive band/metal rock.. Nothing ground breaking. This did not hit me like a ton of bricks, more like a bag of feathers

The comparisons to Psychotic Waltz are a bit overblown but this is still very enjoyable and solid prog metal. My one gripe is that, at 34 minutes, it's a bit short. It sure is sweet though. Recommended. Leyth

Sounds awesome, and I know the perfect guy to give these guys the budget they deserve:)
