NDV is Nick D'Virgilio, drummer extraordinare for Spock's Beard (and Genesis but don't hold that against him). This solo effort would best be categorized as intelligent pop. In other words it's not complex in a truly "prog" sense but it does have an arty feel in a way that would appeal to fans of D'Virgilio's compadre Kevin Gilbert. Helping out are Mike Kenneally on guitars and SB bandmate Ryo Okomoto on some keys. Steve Vai bassist Brian Beller is also aboard but mostly Nick plays a lot of what's here.
