Neom - Arkana Temporis

Neom is an excellent new Magma influenced band from France. In fact the band has recently been opening for Magma. Arkana Temporis is conceived as in 5 parts spread over 2 acts. The band is a quartet consisting of Fender Rhodes, guitar, bass, and drums with some chanting vocals overlaid. While the Magma influence is quite pronounced Neom also displays an affinity for early 70s jazz rock. The music has a real nice flow to it with some blistering guitar solos with that dirty fuzz sound a la classic Phil Miller. Some of the lighter Rhodes dominated sections remind of Canterbury. If you are fan of bands like Potemkine or Speed Limit and of course Magma you should check out Neom - there is much to dig into here. Highly recommended.
