New album from the reformed edition of this great Italian band led by keyboardist Walter Pini. In the 90s. Nuova Era gave us three great albums in the classic "rock progressivo Italiano" style. Through various incarnations the focal point was Walter Pini's pyrotechnic keyboard work that evoked the spirit of Flavio Premoli and Vittorio Nocenzi. The band went silent after 1997's Il Passo del Soldato. This new edition is a trio of keys/bass/drums. The eponymous titled album features a new long composition, reworkings of old material, as well as some archival live recordings from 1987. I hope these guys stick around long enough to get booked to play at Nearfest. Highly recommended.
