Chick metal THERE I۪VE GONE AND SAID IT! Winter Enclosure is the first album from this all-female band from Norway. Described as doom metal in the band bio but I۪d have to disagree. The music has too much energy to fit there. No, instead I would lump this into the gothic metal category. It's probably a bit of a clich̩ at this point but I strongly hear echoes of The Gathering circa Mandylion as well as the recent effort from Autumn. Well crafted and it's instantly obvious that they will get a lot of attention in the goth metal community. Enjoy.

Great Female gothic doom/alternative metal with a cold dark atmosphere. The vocals, lyrics & production are great. The music is heavy with atmospheric keys/piano but loose & hard to grasp (There's no strong song/chorus structure). That's the beauty of this. It just floats around & haunts. This has big "grow" potential. Recommended to gothic metal fans, especially "The Gathering" fans of Mandylion & Nighttime Birds (O.S's singer Silje is now vocalist for The Gathering).
