First album from this British prog band originally signed to Gerry Bron's Bronze Records label. The band came together in 1971. They were originally Keith Reid's backing band on a tour opening for The Rolling Stones. Led by keyboardist Pete Solley and drummer Keith Webb, the band took the unusual musical track of incorporating afro-cuban and jazz influences into their progressive brew. The resulting sound was very much in the same vein as Santana. The music has a real groove propelled by big swirls of organ and killer guitar leads. This is one of those albums I used to stare at in the store but never bought. Now I'm sorry as it's quite excellent stuff. Detailed liner notes and photos courtesy of Mark Powell and great sound from original master tapes round out this package.
