SIREENA 4012
Second album from this rather unusual German band originally released by Telefunken in 1972. While definitely a prog band they went the folk direction. The band used electric instruments for certain but the emphasis is on flute, cello, violin, and guitar with some keys tossed in. So you get this weird mix of Incredible String Band, Jethro Tull, Gryphon, and US west coast influences. Interestingly enough the band was led by Walter Quintus who later went on to found the CMP jazz label. This is an official release on 180 gram vinyl, also replicating the original gatefold sleeve.
