Talu is the latest effort from this Estonian fusion ensemble. Strong Canterbury overtones and even a touch of Passport and Zappa tossed in to the mix. The core ensemble consists of guitar, bass, sax, keys, drums and percussion. The band is augmented with flute, vibes, violin, and harmonica. All of the musicians are phenomenal - Kalle Klein's sax playing has Klaus Doldinger stamped all over it. Keybordist Pearu Helenurm gets a dirty overdriven distortion that reminds of Dave Stewart. Guitarist Kristo Roots simply burns it up from beginning to end. 100% Killer - 0% Filler. Highest recommendation.
