Limited edition comes with a bonus DVD (PAL format) that features 4 live tracks - 2 from Nearfest and 2 from a performance filled for German television.
Lots of controversy about this release. The band has taken their core sound and mutated it completely. The Dark Third had a strong Pink Floyd space rock orientation. The songwriting on Amor Vincit Omnia is similar - that really hasn't changed much. The production by Paul Northfield has gone off in an industrial/electronica direction. You can tell this is PRR - the harmonies and vocal counterpoint is still there....but its all much more uptempo. Parts of the album really rock out and other parts...well they make me want to break out my platform shoes and mirrored ball. Not sure where the band will go from here but I'm sure to go along for the ride. Proceed with caution.
