Fifth album from this Italian melodic metal band is a conceptual work based upon John William Polidori's "The Vampire", originally published in 1814 and considered one of the earliest novels about vampires. The band has changed direction over the years. Their first two discs were fantastic neoclassical albums similar to Symphony X. With their third release they decided to remove most of the progressive elements and went for a more streamlined melodic metal sound.
