Shadow Circus is a new progressive rock band based out of New Jersey. The band offers lengthy compositions with plenty of chops and a bit of a neoprogressive sheen. The music would definitely appeal to fans of The Flower Kings although bits of 70s period Kansas crop up at times. Curiously the band's keyboardist is a 17 year old member of Paul Green's School Of Rock. The kid can play!

A very impressive debut, I think perhaps one of the more promising new American prog bands. The songs have a melodic appeal and humor that brings to mind Neal Morse-era Spock's Beard. Highly recommended. My only complaint is that the album is fairly short, only about 45 minutes. Maybe they were imitating 70's album format?
