Second album from this young Dutch quintet. Sky Architect's stock in trade is symphonic rock. Not the typical "sympho" style that the Dutch favor, this actually has more of a British and German feel. Undercurrents of Camel and Genesis creep in but I'm also reminded of the instrumental work of Spektakel, SFF, and dare I say a touch of Grobschnitt. Lots of nice dynamics going on and some nice long instrumental stretches break up the lyrical content of this concept album. Very nicely done effort. The band's debut album was quite popular and I can easily see them expanding their fanbase with this one. Highly recommended.
